Dear Friends and Family,
Wow, I'm glad I took my work trip last week instead of this week. P's been busy doing new things this week and I can hardly keep on top of it all.
There's phone. This weekend, P was playing with the phone pretending she was making a phone call. Then, she was playing with the remote pretending she was making a phone call. Then, she was playing with a block pretending she was making a phone call. Then, she was playing with another hard toy (it might have been a lion or a toy golf ball) pretending she was making a phone call. Then, she was playing with a napkin pretending she was making a phone call. It was too funny and too cute.
Then, there's no. She's begun shaking her head no when she doesn't want something. Tuesday morning, when Mr. mouse had her packed in her safety pod (aka the car seat), he offered her a toy. Previously she took whatever we offered. But, yesterday she was like a prima donna pitcher, shaking her head no before finally settling on a toy she'd accept.
Then, we've had the binky progression. She got through her nap at school without one. We skipped one for the ride home. And, she went to bed last night without it. I sang to her and tapped her on her back instead. I'll pack one for school today, but hopefully she can nap without it. We'll see.
And, last but not least, she's learned pack bag. Last night for play we put all her toys and whatever other miscellaneous objects were lying around into a small bag. Then we dumped it all out and did it all over again.
It's been a busy couple of days with our P. Her brain is like a sponge, taking it all in and processing it all and reinterpreting it and translating it and then trying it all out on her own.
Cheers!
