03.06.09 (Week 30, Day 7): Not Quite Routine

Dear Friends and Family,

We went in today for what we thought was a routine doctor's appointment.

Well, it turns out

• my cervix is shorter than it was three weeks ago
• my cervix is softer than it was three weeks ago
• my cervix has begun to efface
• and, my cervix has begun to dilate (0.5 cm)

Which means

1. no more travel
2. no more public transportation
3. lots of time sitting and resting

And, a lot more time spent worrying. Sigh.

I hope Pioneer makes it through all this okay.
