Dear Friends and Family,
It was a mix of good and bad this weekend. On the positive, we spent a lot of much needed time cleaning the house and some random time listening to live music at one of the many summer street festivals Chicago has to offer. On the negative, we had major blow ups Fri, Sat, and Sun. We had fire flies (and a bunny) at the park and a most annoying flare up of house flies at home. Literally, house flies, it was disgusting.
Saturday, we got up super early. We spent some time cleaning and napping. Then, we roasted a chicken on the grill. We headed to the gym before heading over to the park with a blanket to listen to some music.
Sunday, we slept in. I had a marvelous weigh in. Then, we finished the house cleaning and split for the afternoon. I needed some down time so I read and cooked while Mr. mouse headed out to wander the streets. We got together for dinner (bison burgers) before heading out to the park again. Somehow, between bands, we decided to head over to Harold's Chicken Shack for fried chicken. And, there went my ephemeral weigh in. Sigh.
And, now, it's Monday. Part of me is feeling clean house refreshed. Part of me is feeling fried chicken bloated. Sigh. Guess it was a weekend of good and bad.
Cheers!
