Anything Tastes Better When It's Cooked on the Grill

Dear Friends and Family,

Last night, one of my friends from work and her boyfriend came over for dinner. I wasn't sure what to cook. Ultimately, we decided on pasta with grilled vegetables, and I've since concluded anything tastes good once you stick it on the grill.

We boiled up come perciatelli, spaghetti shaped but hollow pasta, and dressed it with olive oil. Then we added fresh tomatoes and fresh basil (homegrown). On went grilled mushrooms, grilled eggplant, grilled fennel (crop share), grilled zucchini (crop share), grilled garlic scapes (crop share), grilled asparagus and grilled sausages. Mix it up. E voilĂ !

Mr. mouse made some garlic bread to go with it and our friends brought over a bottle of Italian red wine. For dessert, we grilled a couple of peaches and a pineapple and served it with the last of the caramel ice cream.

Cheers!
