Electricity Tracking, Not Nearly so Happy

Dear Friends and Family,

Got the electricity bill last night. I was so jazzed to compare it to last year's bill. And, alas, I'm up.

• Last year August, we consumed 765 kWh. This August, we used 975 kWh. We're up 27% Ouch!
• In July, we spent 1,067 kWh. So, we're down, as expected, from the peak of the year by about 8%.
• And, at last report out, we had been trending +43% YTD and with August's addition we're trending +41%.

The bar's set pretty low for Sept. Last year we consumed 457 kWh. We'll see what this year brings.
