Millrose Brewery

Dear Friends and Family,

Millrose Brewery reminds me of a Cracker Barrel-like place that decided to spruce itself up and add goat cheese to some items on the menu. A lot of the menu items seemed contrived, so I stuck with the basics - a hamburger and a fruit salad. Good quality meat in the hamburger, not too fatty, but still juicy. And, they were willing to cook it medium rare, which helps keep the texture from getting all rubbery. It came with a fruit salad on the side - 2 pieces each of some standard fruits (i.e. pineapple, cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries). All in all, a totally acceptable meal, except the prices. For a completely ordinary lunch, I came out $16 the poorer. Either goat cheese is more expensive than I originally thought -OR- they believe that by sprucing up the menu, they can take the consumer on a ride. Decent food, just way over priced.
