Pusan Kalbi

Dear Friends and Family,

We've been to Pusan Kalbi three times now. The first was with a family friend over a year ago. The second was the last weekend in January with our neighbors before dropping them off at the airport. And, the third was last night.

I don't recall the first visit. The second, I loved. And, last night's was excellent as well. By far the best selection of ban chan (aka pan chan aka side dishes) of all of the restaurants we've been to so far. And, the crispiness of the rice in the bibimbap - one word... finally! It's a perfect blend of crispy from the hot stone bowl and creamy from the rice that isn't exposed. Mr. mouse got the kalbi tang (aka short rib soup) and it's got just the right level of beefiness and it's properly seasoned. I think this will become our regular, barring trying out any new places that open up.

There's one other place we need to revisit since I skipped the write-up last winter and can't really remember the place now.
