How did I get so far behind? I've got a note to myself to write on an article I read, and now I realize the article is from the first of February! So, it's stale news, but, still interesting enough to warrant blog time.
The Wall Street Journal had two articles titled Rich-O-Meter and Rich-O-Meter 2.0. They're stats on how you compare against Americana overall in both income and wealth. Based on the comments in the article, we're a nation totally engrossed with keeping up with the Joneses. The data is from 2004, I think, but I'd be surprised if a ton has changed in the past 2+ years.
