Just catching up on old reviews.
My mouth waters as I get ready to write this review. Having grown up on thin crust pizza, there's no escaping the craving for an alternative to deep dish. Both Santullo's and Piece got mentioned in a recent Chicago Tribune article on pizza.
Piece is a piece of pizza heaven on earth. The ratio of crust to sauce to cheese was just right. And, the cheese had the slightly greasy slightly orange hue that is reminiscent of true thin crust pizza. I ate half the pie for dinner and it was worth every bite. I can't wait to go back.
