Dear Friends and Family,
After lots of experimentation, I think we've settled on three restaurants that meet 99% of our basic Korean eating out needs. We'll still try additional places.
Pusan Kalbi is our favorite overall restaurant. Our favorite dishes? Maeun kalbi tang, kalbi tang, duk mandoo guk, and bibimbap. Closed on Tuesdays.
Cho Dang Soon Tofu is our favorite soon tofu restaurant. Our favorites are the mixed soon tofu which includes a little bit of everything, the seafood soon tofu, the beef soon tofu, the pork soon tofu and the dumpling soon tofu. They've got a combo with kalbi and seafood soon tofu for when you want a little of everything. The kalbi is actually pretty good.
New Seoul Restaurant is our favorite grill restaurant. Grilled beef. Mmm... So far, we've had the kalbi, bulgogi and the haemul pajun, a seafood pancake.
Life is good.
