Our First Box

Dear Friends and Family,

We got our first CSA box yesterday. It's the size of a standard box of copy paper and was chock full of fresh fruits and vegetables. We got:

• a bag of apples
• a butternut squash
• an acorn squash
• 2 pie pumpkins
• a bag of cranberries
• a bunch of parsley
• 2 leeks
• a bag of carrots
• a bag of onions
• a bag of potatoes
• a bag of sweet potatoes
• some popcorn
• a jar of honey

Overall very happy. The shapes and sizes of the produce are smaller and more irregular than what you find in the grocery store. But, I think that's a good thing. We'll have to try cooking with it this week. I think it'll be a lot of fun.
